The questions we get asked most about renovation projects in NSW.

Q. Do you work on heritage-listed homes?
Yes — we have experience with heritage overlays in Sydney and regional NSW. We manage the heritage DCP submission and ensure all works comply with council requirements.
Q. Can I live in the house during the renovation?
Sometimes — it depends on the scope. Cosmetic renovations are usually liveable. Structural work or whole-home renovations typically require you to vacate. We'll advise you clearly upfront.
Q. How do you handle asbestos?
We test before demolition starts. If asbestos is found, we engage a licensed removalist and dispose of it legally before any other work proceeds. This is quoted separately if required.
Q. Is structural work included in the fixed price?
Yes — if it's in the agreed scope. We identify all structural work during the design phase, cost it accurately, and include it in the fixed-price contract before you sign.
Q. Do you manage council approvals for renovations?
Yes — we assess whether your works require a DA or CDC, prepare all documentation, and manage the submission. Most renovations are CDC-eligible, which speeds up the process significantly.
Q. What if you find something unexpected in the walls?
We investigate during the design phase wherever possible to avoid surprises. If something unexpected arises mid-build, we document it clearly and agree on any scope change before proceeding — nothing gets added to the bill without your sign-off.
