§ 03 / LOCAL KNOWLEDGE

We know Sydney Metro.

Inner-city builds come with layers most builders don't handle — heritage overlays, strata approval, no street parking, site-specific noise limits, and City of Sydney DAs that take time. We've navigated all of it on jobs across Surry Hills, Redfern, Newtown, Pyrmont, Chippendale, and the CBD.

  • Heritage overlay and HCA compliance managed
  • Strata approval documentation prepared
  • City of Sydney DA and CDC submissions
  • Noise and access restrictions planned around
  • No street parking? We organise permits
  • Asbestos testing before every demolition

§ 07 / FAQ

Sydney Metro, answered.

Common questions from Sydney Metro clients about council, heritage, strata, and working in the inner city.

Q. Do you work on strata properties in the CBD and inner city?
Yes — we prepare strata approval documentation, work within by-law constraints, and liaise directly with the strata manager. All works are scheduled to minimise impact on other residents.
Q. How do you handle heritage overlays in Surry Hills and Darlinghurst?
We have extensive experience with City of Sydney heritage DCPs and HCA requirements. We engage heritage consultants where required and manage all documentation as part of our service.
Q. What if there is no street parking near the site?
We apply for Council parking permits as part of site setup. For particularly constrained sites, we plan deliveries outside peak hours and use smaller vehicles where needed.
Q. Do you manage City of Sydney DA or CDC applications?
Yes — we assess your works, determine the right approval pathway, prepare all documents, and lodge with City of Sydney Council or an accredited certifier. Most minor works qualify for CDC.
Q. Are there noise restrictions I should know about?
City of Sydney has specific construction hours — generally 7am–5pm weekdays, 8am–1pm Saturdays, no Sundays or public holidays. We plan all work within these limits and notify neighbours before we start.
